are you in the UK Landy ?
dear friends:.
i imagine by now we old timers have adjusted to the fact that we are getting older and, one day, will make our exit.
are your "senior moments" ever a cause for worry to you?
how often do you, ........ no not that, how often do look at this forum ?
and how long does it last,....... no not that again (one track minds) how many looks are you addicted to a day?
keep coming back to see anything new, or do you look at posters who you know from experience have comments that will interest you?.
hey ya'll!
i have been lurking for years on this site and others but never had the courage to post anything.
actually i was afraid of posting on an apostate site in the event i was wrong.
this is my first post.
i never dreamed i'd be on a site like this.
i was baptized 43 years ago and pretty much have done and seen it all.
Welcome to the siteTD.
I was dipped in 62...as a kid. Left school went pioneering...but quit in 71.
So glad you're awake now.

re: magazine requests .
dear brothers: in our letter to all congregations dated october 20, 2015, regarding making wise use of printed magazines, publishers are encouraged to use good judgment to determine an individual’s interest before offering magazines.

re: older issues of magazines.
Dear Brothers,
Henceforth the long established practice of using older magazines as lavatory paper is now to be discontinued........

i feel like i need to vent my story out, as i feel quite helpless at the moment.. i'm 31 year old, married, father of toddler with another one on the way, due later this month.
i've been serving as elder for about 4 years now in a south florida congregation.
hi Sanchy---you wrote:
So, this is my situation. Elders are still in process of sending my details to CO and branch, awaiting their approval for my resignation
err---what --????
is that your words---or theirs --?
just what happens if "they" dont approve your resignation ?---do they then d/f you instead ?
to myself it means to seek knowledge and understanding of are selves and the world in which we live.. unfortunately history has shown whenever one tries to connect to god and of his knowledge through men who say they themselves are connected to god through spiritual wifi ie.
gb members of the jehovah's witnesses for example, one usually ends up finding a accumulation of only man's acquired knowledge.
over thousands of years of trying to connect to a god(s) for help and answers, mankind has eventually relinquished himself to seeking answers through scientific investigative acquired knowledge of the world in which we live in.
i might as well believe in god.
i believe in the loch ness monster, fairies, thomas the tank engine. angels, father christmas. the devil. superman.
so it makes sense to hedge my bets.
wow....has it been a while!
i hope many of you are doing good!
it's awesome to see many of you holding strong, and keeping the site going!.
